I didnt take notice that most every style I posted is painted perimeter cabinets! There is no denying it has been the hottest trend here in Atlanta! Whether you like wood or paint, the overall design style can be easily be stained wood too!

My favorite? Love the bungalow. Casual yet still elegant. But I would NEED a wood island top!

It's a toss up between "Upscale Country" or "Traditional".

Becky Sue, Gary (Amazing Improvements) is a NARIAtlanta member. Remind me next time you are at a NARI meeting and I'll introduce you if you dont get together before then.

My vote is for the contemporary myself. Although I like elements from many of the photos.

Transitional, Traditional and Upscale Country! Like most though, I love them all. Nothing like a clean kitchen with lots of counter space and storage.

I love the contemporary. What I really like is it doesn't look like a kitchen.

Nice and open look but the lamps really over power the room. I noticed them before the room itself. :( Maybe one would work. The stools are OUTRAGEOUSLY GREAT!

I just found this site this morning...where have I been!!! I love the Transitional one best. Moved into my home 4 years ago and inherited a 24 year old kitchen desperate for renovation. I plan to paint the cabinets as well as add the detail work to the back and sides of the island. It won't be as gorgeous as this one, but will be a huge improvement!

I like the transitional. Looks like there is a nice flow into a dining room or living room with the upholstered bar chairs and the lamps. Love it

You are correct Freddie. While the lamps may look like an obstacle from this angle, the room is rather large. It is 22' wide x 19' feet deep (kitchen only) - but is adjoined by the same size room, which is the keeping room. Not to mention a breakfast nook off to the left!

The lamps really help fill the space and even help give a little division between the rooms. This outer island is more for entertaining - the center island is the workhorse!

hanging pots and pans? not for me I had a pot rack( for decorative copper pots) over the stove in our kitchen I had to wash the grease off of them at least once a week - and cleaning that rack was a chore it does look nice, though

my pot rack is over my sink...I wash then hang to dry...any drips go into the sink. Over the the sink is the "better" location compared to over the stove as the grease issues from cooking are minimized.
