Re Purposed License Plate Planter Boxes
by

I used vintage Michigan License plates from the 70's to make planter boxes. The wood is made for use outdoors, but could be used for indoor storage. The plates were made for celebrating our bicentennial and are red, white and blue. I think they'll look nice with some red geraniums, ageratum and alyssum. They could be made with any old license plate or with plates that might have sentimental value.

One giant hint: get a form for each different plate to send to your state saying those plates are no longer in use on a vehicle. A thief would have to be desperate to use these plates, but you don’t want anything coming back on you.
I absolutely love this idea. I could do this.
