DIY Shiplap Barn Door for a Galley Kitchen Pantry

1 Material
We are in the process of giving my kitchen a full renovation. My husband recently turned a closet pantry into a mini walk in pantry.

All that was left to do was to replace the concertina door (which took up needed space in my galley kitchen) with a DIY Shiplap Barn Door closing.

The color of the shiplap is a reclaimed grey wood finish that I just love.
It is amazing how much extra walk room the new barn door gives in my kitchen!
This is the way my door frame looked before we started.
We used our deck to lay out the design of the door.
The top of the door fram after we attached it to the slider. I love the color!
A smooth and simple handle adds the final touch. See the whole project on my blog.
Suggested materials:
  • Shiplay boards, barn door sliding kit, gray reclaimed wood   (Lowe's Hardware)
