As long as your bed is pushed up against the wall, the lack of headboard shouldn't make a difference
I agree with Hillela. But worse case scenario you could slide them Under your fitted sheet.
the wall should act like a head board, but ... it depends on the bed frame. my frame does leave a bit of a gap....stuffed it with rolled up blanket.

A bolster pillow as wide as the bed
or two long king size pillows in back fills the gap.
Glue the top of the headboard to the wall and push the bed under it.
