You will have to smother the grass out with newspapers and mulch
I use weed-be-gone. You can find it at home depot or lowes. It doesn't hurt your flowers but it will kill the grass. If the grass is very heavy you will probably need to spray again before there is a noticeable change. You do need to spray several times a year to keep the grass away. It does work slowly so you have to be a little patient.
