Dining Room Focal Wall Makeover
by

My mom has been begging me to makeover her dining room and kitchen for months. I recently started the makeover by focusing on a focal wall in the dining room. My mom loves it and can't wait for me to finish the entire makeover!
The before was okay, but the after is way more modern! The turquoise buffet and vintage lamps are pieces that I made over. The canvases were provided to me by Shutterfly in order to try out a new product, which I love.
One of the canvases on the wall features a printable I created. I'm offering the printable for free, so make sure you check out the blog post to download your own copy.
I just love the after!

Marion Nesbitt on Aug 16, 2014Looks good. What a nice thing to do for your Mom. The only thing I would do is arrange the art work so it is lower on the left side.

Maggie Lois on Sep 06, 2014@Bethany {Pitter and Glink} Well you did an amazing job, I just love this! Hopefully mine will look as good as yours! The problem is the long wall in my dining room has a window in the middle.. so I'll have to get creative.

Bethany {Pitter and Glink} on Sep 12, 2014@Maggie Lois Thanks so much! I know that yours will look amazing! Have you read the Nester's book? In it, she calls things like your window in the middle of your wall a "lovely limitation," and our lovely limitations often cause us to come up with our most creative ideas. :)

Maggie Lois on Sep 13, 2014@Bethany {Pitter and Glink} I haven't read it, but that is a good way to look at it! I'll have to read that book, thank you!
