This is acid stain, he also cut concrete to look like big pieces of slate. -
What did he use to cut the groves in the concrete? -

Would love more info on the whole process.....products/steps/ I see a sprayer so did he spray an acid stain (where does one get an acid stain? Home Depot??? )Is there a finishing or sealing step?? -
I've seen this done using regular stains then sealed. Not sure the acid staining is DIYable or not. I hope Debbie comes back with more info. -

Hello Again! Thanks for all the kind words on my pictures. I'm lucky that my husband is a concrete contractor, but this is still a do it your self projct. Steps #1 on old concrete is MUST be clean, pressure wash or stiff brush with mild soap,and rinsed well. #2 After it is DRY, stain my be applied with a sprayer or brush (acid stain contractor only) but the home improvement store have something simular. To get the same effect use more than 1 color. #3 a clear concrete sealer applies with a ...» -
and YES concretracks! it is a liquid that turns hard on a moving earth. Take it from a concrete contractor it WILL crack at some point in time. the more expansion cuts are placed in our new concrete the better. Just sayin! -
