I'm very grateful to live in a modern home that doesn't require massive repairs. However I really desired more architectural charm to replace a big sea of drywall.
Since I like to change my mind often where decorating is concerned, I created a temporary board and batten wall treatment that brought charm back to the room, for little fuss and cost!
Here's my cheat sheet method...

Here's my cheat sheet method...
Paint out your walls and some random boards that are tall enough to reach the ceiling.
Random boards with random spaces were screwed to the wall. Little math is required for this one!
The walls are now filled with loads of character. The blog link below shows more of the room and installation tips.

Leena Milligan-Lanteigne on Feb 06, 2013This is a wonderful idea! I love how easy it is to install without a lot of tools, which I don't have and how it can be taken down or repainted with very little trouble! I want to try this asap!
