Day After Thanksgiving Lunch

Do you ever wonder what to do with Thanksgiving leftovers? Or what to do when some family members are not available to celebrate on Thanksgiving Day? Both of these questions can be answered with one simple solution – a day after Thanksgiving lunch.
‪#‎GiveThanks‬
One of the easiest ways to put leftovers to good use and see guests who were visiting other family and friends the day before is to host a casual lunch that celebrates the season and the traditional foods, while putting a new spin on the meal you just had.
For a “day after” lunch, I like to go with soup and sandwiches for the relaxed vibe it lends. Here I’ve set a table for exactly that kind of lunch, with butternut squash soup in small dessert cups, turkey with brie and apples on fresh country bread and sweet potato chips for some crunch on the side.
I always try to do something special with my napkins, as I find they make one of the biggest differences to the table presentation. Here I’ve layered a rust linen from Pottery Barn under a green shimmer from Pier 1. A wheat stalk is tucked into the fun beaded napkin rings for a playful touch.
