Read this book and you won't eat a winter tomato again

I just finished a great book, "Tomatoland," that makes me really, really appreciate the organic heirloom tomatoes currently coming out of my garden. I know it's a little off-topic, but I know a lot of you are growing tomatoes, so you might also be interested in this book.
The book is really about why those pale, hard, pink tomatoes you buy in the supermarket in December are so mealy and awful. They are almost intentionally flavorless, as they are grown to survive shipping, and are quick-ripened artificially. They are also full of pesticides and fertilizers, which are also destroying the environment, and they are grown by modern-day slaves.
