I used Citristrip on a bunch of drawers about a week and a half ago.

3po3 on Dec 03, 2011I helped my wife refinish a bookcase a while back. We cleaned off the citrus cleaner with mineral spirits, as recommended by the manufacturer. It worked great, but it did dry out the wood some, so be careful if it's a really valuable piece.Helpful Reply

Donna McCrummen on Dec 04, 2011Thank you Steve. It is a very valuable piece. I will use mineral spirits then a pre-stain wood conditioner. I'm usually not nervous as mistakes can usually be remedied but as I said it is valuable.Helpful Reply

KMS Woodworks on Dec 04, 2011Donna...I've used a green "kitchen scrubbie" to help with getting some of the residuals off. The "sponge" part helps keep it moist while working. (I'm actually working on a 7 foot long Mahogany table this week in my shop...I did the first coat of citrus stripe yesterday) I use odorless thinner to clean up between applicationsHelpful Reply
