Monrovia has Loropetalum 'Suzanne' listed as a fragrant flower. Can anyone verify that for me?

Southern Trillium LLC on Dec 05, 2011We planted Suzanne in several yards years ago. I never noticed a scent on the flowers. Also to note, pay no attention to their description of it being a compact grower to 3-4 feet. I have seen it easily reach 6 feet in height. After realizing that it did not stay compact at all, we switched to using Loropetalum Purple Diamond and have had better luck with it staying a little lower in height.Helpful Reply

Flowerscapes Garden Design & Landscaping on Dec 05, 2011Don't you just hate it when the tags describe how the plant grows in a different climate. We have a longer growing season and some of the nice so called petite shrubs really take off here. Then again, a big box store was promoting the annual Lantana as a perennial this spring. The tag must have been for Florida or So. Cal! Go figure...Helpful Reply
