Can I mix chrome and antique brass fixtures on window treatments?

Sandy Hartnett on Nov 02, 2015You can always spray paint them to match! But, it's your house and you can mix or match as you choose! But in the picture they look fine together to me! Hugs...Helpful Reply

Z on Nov 02, 2015I too have mixed metals in our home. I'm not sure about mixing them on the same thing, such as a window treatment, unless either one already had a mixed finishes that matched the single finished item. I think it would look disjointed. I do believe the styles work well together, so what I would do, would be to spray paint them all so they match.Helpful Reply

Swan Road Designs on Nov 02, 2015If you like the style of the leaf, then keep them. Live with them in their natural colors and see how it goes. Otherwise, as someone has already mentioned, spray paint can solve the problem. My only recommendation would be to spray both the hold backs and the rod finials so everything has the same tone.Helpful Reply

Kat Sellars on Nov 02, 2015Duh. I don't know why I didn't think of spray paint. I think I'll try the mixed metals first, and if I'm not happy with the look I can always pull them back off and spray paint. Thanks for all your input!Helpful Reply
