How to match wood floor, stone walls, sofit and ceiling

Dan's of Central Florida, Inc. on Jan 09, 2012Hmm, is it possible that you can just finish off the ceiling with typical drywall for the time being and perhaps add in the tin ceiling at a later time when you have the money?Helpful Reply

Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Jan 09, 2012Embossed metal tile ceilings are not that expensive. Of course if you purchase the matching trims then they can become a bit higher. But I would look into that a bit more. There are some pretty inexpensive panel systems available these days.Helpful Reply

Julie B on Jan 09, 2012After I posted this I searched more on the internet and saw vinyl embossed tile that looks just like the tin tiles. The price however seemed about the same. 18.00 a square foot not including the trim that goes between each one. Is that the going price for both tin or similar or am I not looking at the right places?Helpful Reply

KMS Woodworks on Jan 10, 2012Hickory wood floor in a Bath?....I would rethink that aspect...slate or some nice granite would be far more robust or water protection.Helpful Reply

Julie B on Jan 10, 2012The kind we purchased is guaranteed to be moisture resistant and is floating kind that locks together. The area in and around the shower will be stone ( or tile if I have my way ;-) . I love that tuscan look on one of the pictures that was posted!Helpful Reply

WallsTreat Studio/ Kass Wilson on Jan 11, 2012Julie, you can purchase paintable wall paper with an embossed design that looks like tin. Once applied, make your first coat an oil based primer to seal the surface. Then, paint it with any acrylic colors to mimic the tins.Helpful Reply

Karin F on Jan 12, 2012Love the idea about the paintable wallpaper -- but how do you get it to adhere to a ceiling? Wouldn't the weight of it cause it to immediately fall down?Helpful Reply
