Can you start forsythe bushes from clippings?

Douglas Hunt on Apr 19, 2013Judy, make sure your neighbor actually has forsythia and not Tecoma stans, which is a plant often referred to as yellow bells. If it is indeed forsythia, it is very easy to root from cuttings. To my eye, forsythia is a rather weedy looking shrub after its bloom, so if you are considering a long run of it you might want to break it up with other shrubs.Helpful Reply

Caley's Culinaries on Apr 19, 2013The easiest, low maintenance was to propagate this is by layering: Bend a branch to the ground and weight it down with a brick. If you use big branches, you should get some good sized bushes to cut off and transplant. It's VERY easy, but takes a while.Helpful Reply
