Dan's of Central Florida, Inc. on Jan 31, 2012Amber, definitely call in a professional bee exterminator. They will need to somehow rip out the hive itself so that the bees do not come back in the future. Depending on where they are and access to that spot, they may need to open the walls/ceiling to get it out of there.Helpful Reply

Dan's of Central Florida, Inc. on Jan 31, 2012Hmm, apparently there are no members here at Hometalk near you in the Pest Control business. Have you tried calling your local government wildlife control? I doubt they would do the job themselves, but they might have an idea of who you can contact about it.Helpful Reply

Sherrie S on Jan 31, 2012Amber, one of my best friends has bee hives in Florida. I don't know about Arizona but bees are very important to most of the world. Maybe someone will want to take the bees from your home for free. I'll try to get an answer tomorrow.Helpful Reply

Ricardo B on Jan 31, 2012There a many commercial and DIY Beekeepers out there. You'd be surprised how quickly they'd jump at the chance to come right over and solve your problem. Just google "beekeeping" and you'll find local beekeepers you can call right away.Helpful Reply

Amber G on Jan 31, 2012To be clear AR is not Arizona. AR stands for Arkansas. I've called some beekeepers and the problem is that the hive is the size of my entire roof.Helpful Reply

Sherrie S on Feb 04, 2012My friend suggested calling the university close to you and see if they will come out. It could be a new mix of good bees (not african) as long as they are not chasing after any one.Helpful Reply

Capernius on Apr 27, 2015First of all, are these honey bees? Secondly, how do you wish this to be handled? IF, if these are in fact honey bees, do you want the honey after they are gone? These are Qs that you need to discuss with your hubby.... Here is some info that I copied from Pinterest: The best wasp/yellowjacket repellant for summer picnics: 2 ounces of mint extract. 2 ounces peppermint extract. 10 ounces rubbing alcohol. Pour ingredients into spray bottle and label. Spray down picnic area and play area. The mint is neurotoxic to bees and wasps. Somehow they know to stay away, but if you spray it on them directly it can also kill them. 114 9Sue Larochesues finds As far as I know, Sue Laroche is the author of this post....not meHelpful Reply

Capernius on Apr 27, 2015here is some more info.... Keep wasps and bees away this summer. Put about 10 cloves in 1/2 a lemon and set out. They do not like the scent. Cut off the ends so they sit flat. 4060 441 7Eden HalfonWho Knew??? In your blender, combine 1 small onion, 1 head of peeled garlic, 4 cups water, and 1½ tablespoons cayenne pepper.
