Cheap ways to make your own pattern

Does anybody have any ideas for very inexpensive ways to make your own patterns? I have some clothes that are so worn they are holy. I need ideas on how to take apart the seams and make patterns so I can make new ones.

You can take the clothing apart at the seams. Iron the parts. put the parts on freezer paper and trace around the clothing. then go back around adding a 5/8 inch seam allowance and you should be fine as long as your pieces were not out of shape when you traced them.
