MN Mom on Feb 27, 2016Mary I think they'd look nice painted the same color to give them continuity and then use some of them to house small pots of annual flowers and some with candles in jars. You can place them in groups on a table top or hang them by shepherds hooks in your garden area or around a patio. Remember that if they are metal they may rust if exposed to the elements. I would use a rust inhibitor spray paint.Helpful Reply

Lindy on Feb 28, 2016Moxie, close to what I was thinking too...... I can see them in the trees with solar lights -yes they would need light to charge, but hopefully would get enough throughout the day to do so. Boy! Would I love a couple of those little sweeties to decorate with!Helpful Reply

Trixie on Feb 28, 2016Hi, I have an old bird cage that I made into a lamp. Relatively easy. I bought a lamp kit and drilled a hole in the bottom of the cage and threaded it up to the top. I got lucky as the top and a metal flat piece that I was able to drill also. I used a straw hat for the shade. Sorry I can't find a picture of it. I use it on the covered porch. Oh, also put some moss and a small bird's nest inside. Good luckHelpful Reply

Barb on Feb 28, 2016Hanging from tree limbs would be pretty as long as they were not all on the same tree. How about standing them on top of each other or hanging them from the house and letting vines grow on them. You would have to hook them together somehow if them stood alone and you would have to keep the vine trimmed so you could see your pretty collection of cages.Helpful Reply

KatAych on Feb 29, 2016If you have an outdoor seating area, you could hang them or place them around there, put candles in them, and use them for lighting in the evening. Or you could use them as planters,Helpful Reply
