KMS Woodworks on Feb 29, 2012I have always been a fan of "earth tones" so your chocolate browns may work well with a two tone for this piece...perhaps a darker base color with some distressing that will allow it to show through. For the top a light cream to cappuccino colorHelpful Reply

Sandra aka Blondie on Feb 29, 2012Both are excellent ideas. A POP of color would brighten the room tremendously. I've never considered orange (being from Aggieland). But a deep orange might bring interesting contrast. Just don't tell any of my Aggie friends...lolHelpful Reply

Susan S on Mar 01, 2012This sounds like something right up Shabby Daze alley or Janet w/Empty Nest. They both do a lot of furniture rehab work and produce some pretty amazing results breathing new life in to what others might think was beyond redemption!!Helpful Reply

Sandra aka Blondie on Mar 05, 2012Hello All... and thank you again for your input. I'm about 90% sure I'm going to go with the DC gray. I think it will offer a nice contrast to the chocolate brown sofa, loveseat, and recliner; as well as the blue curtains and pillows. I will actually have about 3 other small tables that I hope to paint the same color. Will update when I get around to actually working on the project.Helpful Reply
