Put up a strip of chicken wire or a tack strip, they will not like stepping on it and will go away.
equine chew stop. Spray the areas, they hate the taste. Jeffers sells it online, or Tractor Supply.
I had metal post caps installed on our fence posts a couple of years ago and they look as good as new. No squirrel damage. Depending on the type of posts you have, these may work for you: https://www.amazon.com/4x4-Post-Cap-Powder-Aluminum/dp/B00MFT50IQ/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1491311333&sr=8-11&keywords=metal+fence+post+caps+4x4
Trap them and take them to a forest and release them...........that is what I did through the Humane Society. I could not bare the thought of hurting them.
Your hardware store, will have some paste and some tape. You just put the tape on the tree, wrap it around the tree, and then put the paste on it, and this will prevent the squirrels from getting near the tree. Make sure you make it a wide area, so they can't get up the tree, without stepping into it. It will be very sticky. Best wishes.
Put metal caps on the fencing, they can't chew through that.
