Janet Pizaro on Mar 02, 2016Painting would probably be the easiest. However it is hard to give an honest opinion without seeing what it looks like.Helpful Reply

Carol on Mar 03, 2016Yes paint them white. I did all the walls in my trailer and it looks brighter, bigger and cleaner. It looks like board and batten. So leave the strips and paint over it all. I used Home Depot paint in white, satin finish with primer already in it. You will have to do two coats. I also used white ceiling paint and painted the ceiling. You will save money and it looks great.Helpful Reply

Judi on Mar 03, 2016I have redone several mobile homes. Painting is the least expensive and the fastest. Make sure you use a good primer before painting. I just spent several days scraping paint off the walls in a bedroom that had been painted without a primer and the paint was peeling in many areas.Helpful Reply

Suella Kirkham on Mar 03, 2016The suggestions regarding painting and primers are good. Do what fits your style. You could do a tile backsplash in your kitchen or bathroom. If your style happens to be Colonial, you could do a wainscoting. You could paint and do a tin square focal wall. Once, we even left the paneling and painted the ceiling. Good luck.Helpful Reply

Rebecca Platt on Mar 03, 2016I would paint as well. However, I would probably use dry wall spackling, fill in the groves and then paint.Helpful Reply

Teresa on Mar 03, 2016All three work it your budget that it effects and if you want to change it more often. I have painted it take a lot of time but not much money, Paneling can be sum what costly but cheaper then drywall because you have to mud and tape also do corners and then paint too. I like to paint a lot more than most people so we decided to drywall and paint we had to match the texture in the rest of the house to make it look good and it was worth all the work. Hope you have as much fun as I did.Helpful Reply

Sherry Fram on Mar 03, 2016My brother's first house was a trailer & we painted all the walls without any problems. We painted the strips the same as the trim around the doors & windows. It looked great! Hope this helps! Good luck!Helpful Reply

Judi on Mar 04, 2016There is a product put out by Zinsser called B.I.N. Ultimate Stain Blocker that works for all surfaces. It works great to help paint adhere to walls in trailers. I bought it most recently at Home Depot and I have seen it in some Walmarts.Helpful Reply

Sylvia Gonzalez on Mar 06, 2016Use drywall also if you use an AC window unit instead of Central air you might as well rewire thatelectr I would use drywall and if you use in a window air conditioning unit you may want to rewire the electrical outlet that it is plugged into like a house because the electrical wiring in a trailer is not safe for a window unit and you can avoid a fire in your home you may as well since the the walls are already exposed best to keep your family safeHelpful Reply
