Douglas Hunt on May 22, 2013I would definitely put gravel in the bottom of your container, Cheryl. An inch or so should do the trick. Use a lean soil like a cactus mix and provide good, bright light. Overwatering has been the death of many a succulent, so don't overdo, and make sure to let the soil dry out between waterings. You'll find many suggestions for successfully growing succulents indoors from Iowa State University here: http://www.ipm.iastate.edu/ipm/schoolipm/sites/default/files/school_ipm_2004_01.pdfHelpful Reply
