Yvonne Moore on May 30, 2013I used to have a dragon broach and a pair of Dragon Earrings made of pewter I got in Berkeley California in the 80's I still have the pieces but the backs fell off. they were made of a cheaper lighter metal. My family also has an Elizabethan tea set in Silver. They can get more tarnished by time and weather than pewter but after a good clean up with a silver dip they look pretty good.Metals need a proper cleaning and sometimes a protectant afterwards to seal them and keep from oxidation . But they they can keep for a long time. I love pewter and antique silver but don't know how they are valuedHelpful Reply
