How would you hide an in-wall A/C?

William on May 30, 2016A bookcase would be a great idea as long as the air flow is not blocked. Another idea would be a folding screen, similar to a fireplace screen. The picture is for a high wall unit, but can be incorporated for your unit.Helpful Reply

Deb on May 31, 20161.Put a wood frame around it and add shutters or doors. This could be larger than the ac itself and could add storage. 2. sofa table and curtain it 3. cover it with a large shallow rectangle basket 4. Make a box to fit out of foam core sheets and decorate.( cheap and easy light weight) paint and decoupage a picture or a collage or paint 5.Hang a curtain rod and curtains there are deeper rods if it sticks out too much don't forget the tiebacks to keep the curtains from blowing and tie them at the bottom of the ac. Match them with the window curtains for a tiered effect.Helpful Reply

Ann on May 31, 2016When we were growing up the neighbors had a unit installed in a wall and they put shutters over it. They would open them when they wanted to use the ac unit. Seems simple enough.Helpful Reply
