Douglas Hunt on Jul 01, 2013Yes, there are multiple types of wisteria, Karen. This article discusses the Japanese and Chinese varieties, but there is a native American wisteria as well: http://ohioline.osu.edu/hyg-fact/1000/1246.htmlHelpful Reply

360 Sod (Donna Dixson) on Jul 03, 2013Your vine almost looks like Snail Vine to me, but I think it is fragrant as well. There are a lot of different Vigna caracalla though, could be one of them. If it came from Florida that could be what you have.Helpful Reply

Karen W on Jul 03, 2013Donna, the Wysteria vine in the picture came from a nursery in Georgia. The nursery did not specify what type of Wysteria it was, that's why I wondered what varieties there are. Mine is not fragrant in a good way...smells a little like cat urine. (laugh)Helpful Reply
