Install faux Shutters and add a Window box to plant flowers in.

I agree with Vera S, if you type in shutter above many ideas and DIY will show up. Good luck!

In my opinion I would just install a flower box.

Yep, shutters and a window box would really set it off.

Love this idea , gather some pallets , these make lovely shutters at a low cost , could also work for your flower box! Sanded and paint white with the gray would be lovely !

Yes to flower box, and/or shutters, maybe even a small awning, you could put beautiful flowers on a trellis on either side or even around the window.

I agree with the majority, shutters and a flower boxes, or bolder, wider trim

Responses were perfect, that back window looks like mine.

I personally like the idea of shutters in combination with wider, bolder trim but the other ideas are excellent. Pick what you like.

Whew! It took me some time to find a way to get this to you, but I think maybe you can pull up the link to a window dress out that does not require anything but straight cuts! It is stunning! And should be simple to do! It is just different lengths of stacked boards! At least look at this!

How about a garden trellis on one side with a flowering vine? There are also paint options as painting a mural, shutters or window boxes as an alternate to other suggestions.
