Concrete countertop epoxy disaster
-
Johnchip on Jun 20, 2016You could sand down the surface to bare concrete and start again. If you find the epoxy surface itself satisfactory, just not the color, you likely can just put another coat of a different color epoxy if you prepped the current surface. I would not put a paint coat on it as it would likely peel. And last but not least, look at your laminates that can be applied with little effort. I personally would first try an area with a second coat of an epoxy you like but after a light sanding and prep to the surface..Helpful Reply

Ji.flooring2009 on Jun 20, 2016I've done a lot of epoxy countertops. Did the concrete cure completely before applying epoxy? Yes you can sand and resist as long as the surface is only a color problem. Use an 60-80 grit paper to scuff. Mix your epoxy with color s and pour again. This is not as difficult as it may seem. Keep your head up, don't give upHelpful Reply
