William on Jun 21, 2016If you mean drapery rods, depending on the length, I have used electrical conduit, pvc pipe, dowel rods from Home Depot, Menards, or Lowes.Helpful Reply

Merrie on Jun 21, 2016Dowling would work well for this. You can get dowels in various thicknesses and they can be easily cut to length, sanded and painted to your desired colour. Use a small hook screwed into the end to attach to the pull loop. A small teacup hook would work nicely.Helpful Reply

Susan Litt on Jun 21, 2016Or you could look at Ikea. They have blind sections that require a pull rod. I think the rods are fairly inexpensive.Helpful Reply

Melody McSweeney on Jun 21, 2016A photo would help but what I think you want - simply insert a cup hook into an end of a simple dowel rod (painted a color to disapear into the drapery (dowel rods of hard wood available in Home Depot and Lowes)Helpful Reply

Csm7079963 on Jun 23, 2016I have actually made them out if dowel rods I got from hobby lobby! My drapes were beige and the rod and rings were wood so I chose to stain the dowels to match. I screwed a tiny eye screw on one end and used it to hands rich to the top, pulling edge of the drapes. I found a neat brass, dangling style piece of drawer hardware and screwed it into the remaining end of the dowel rod for a customized finished look. It costs very little and I do get lots of nice comments on them! Good luck!Helpful Reply
