Muriel on Jun 30, 2016I would use them for salads for the family. I kick myself for letting a beautiful set go made of 'monkey pod' - whatever that is, but it was beautiful. I really cleaned house back in 1992 when we started full-time RVing. We landed 2 years ago and now I remember a lot of items we got rid of.... memories...Helpful Reply

Lori on Jun 30, 2016Wow, the potential here is awesome. Wall decor of some kind, a clock , a flower, an animal or a mother and babies, on a fence outside, a windchime, a turtle, if you have little girls buy tiny dolls and make tiny cradles, spray them seasonal colours and serve stuff in them like silver at Christmas with nuts or candies. I'll keep thinking.........have fun.Helpful Reply

Radha on Jul 01, 2016you can make a beautiful chandelier out of this. keep the large one in the center and rest of the 8 small pieces can hang from it in a circular style. Wrap Christmas lights around each of them. this can be put in the patio and used when you have a gathering for dinner. or you can put one light in each of them and that too of different colors to give a shimmery look.Helpful Reply

Judith Miller on Jul 02, 2016Thanks for posting these answers. I have several pieces of monkey pod dishes sent to MIL by my FIL during WWII. He did not survive the war and it is of the few things my husband has from the father he never met.Helpful Reply

Jennie Lee on Jul 03, 2016I love beautiful wood. I used to have a collection of wooden bowls years ago, but finally made myself get rid of most of them. I wouldn't be able to bear to cover this pretty wood with anything. Try using them as is! Use the big one for your popcorn bowl when you watch movies! Use one to keep change in. Use one to put your stuff from your pockets when you change clothes! Use one to put pretty shells in! Or pretty stones! Put out salted nuts in one! Or wrapped candies! Put something nice in one (jelly beans? M&Ms?) and give it as a gift! A beautiful piece of wood is too good to waste!Helpful Reply
