Where do I find the sun catchers made from plastic beads.
I can't find it. I remember you use cake pans, plastic beads, but don't remember how hot
the oven should be, and the time. Please help. Thank you, Nancy Williams

Michela Shoemaker on Jul 25, 2013I have this pinned on my board but don't know how to get it to you. Bake them at 400 degrees for about 30 minutes. I just did this with my grand daughter and used my craft oven outside, unfortunately it only goes to 325 degrees and did not completely melt them.Helpful Reply

Nancy Williams on Jul 25, 2013Thanks for your help, think I'll try it tomorrow, Fri. I have some plastic glass like stuff that I use to use when I did ceramics, maybe I'll add some of that to it....should be interesting. Thank for your reply, I appreciate it. Nancy W.Helpful Reply

Michela Shoemaker on Jul 26, 2013I sprayed mine and they did not want to come out at first, maybe they were still too warm when I tried because after a couple days they popped out. Think next time I may line the pan. Drill the hole after they bake.Helpful Reply

Nancy Williams on Jul 30, 2013I didn't spray the pans, and I made three sun catchers, baked them at 400 degrees for 30 mins. They came out ok....1 was a little "funky" I used up ceramic crushed glass that one uses for windows in churches, houses, etc. and mixed it with some plastic beads...it's ok. but I won't repeat that again. One that I used mostly blue beads, and some white, mixed with yellow, and than placed some little sea shells on top, than sprinkled some plastic pearls...it came out nice, but the pearls turned dark brown..it seems that the coating burnt, but it did shed that coating and this sun catcher is pretty sharp. Thank you all for your suggestions. Nancy WilliamsHelpful Reply
