Bet8961694 on Aug 15, 2016My mother-in-law put a few dozen into a gallon jar filled with filtered water and put them in the frig for 48 hours. Her Peach-Pit Jelly was her all-time favorite with her children and grand-children. It was also very attractive in the jars.Helpful Reply

DiannaLynne on Aug 15, 2016My grandma taught me to use pits and skins from the peaches by boiling them in enough water to cover, extracting the flavor and color then straining and using the juice to make jelly. Delicious, beautiful and won me a blue ribbon at county fair. waste not, want notHelpful Reply

April Throgmorton on Aug 15, 2016When I was very little I saw a man cut peach seeds and black walnuts into thin slices then he would glue the slices together to make baskets and shelves. Aren't peach pits full of some kind of poison.Helpful Reply

Kate on Aug 16, 2016Beware the sharp points some have, but they can be good counting toys for children, or as stones for yard games like hopscotch. They can also be used in lieu of money for gambling-type games, if you really have enough.Helpful Reply

Bet8961694 on Aug 16, 2016Oddly enough, a few red hot candies (the really small ones people sometimes use to flavor hot cider). They imparted color but little flavor. Very delightful. You might do a search and see what comes up because I saw Peach Pit Jelly somewhere online recently.Helpful Reply
