Doris Smitherman-Swope on Aug 18, 2016Make a wooden cross and hollow out the inside of each board (doesn't have to be smooth or perfect) stain the wood, and get some clear glue and apply a layer to the inside of the cross add the glass, colored beads, sea shells or whatever you have on hand...glue it all on scattering everything around...turns out beautiful....you can paint the inside hollowed out part of the wood any color you would prefer if you wanted a color instead of stain...Helpful Reply

Darline on Aug 19, 2016With the new sea glass spray on paint, I'd first use emery cloth to smooth the sharp edges, then wrap with fine wire from the jewelry findings , after spray painting the glass. Making the wire into little loops at the top and use for wind chimes, Christmas decorations, window charms or jewelry. Sea glass is really popular now,and adding nautical charms or just pretty beads really sparkles!Helpful Reply

Groove Grillers on Aug 19, 2016Use it for your outdoor gas fire-pit. Tempered glass works for this application. I ditched my lava rock and the glass looks brilliant under flame.Helpful Reply

Darline on Aug 19, 2016It's not made to work on wood. It's realy to smooth glass. Iv'e never tried it on wood, maybe it would do it. Just be really careful when tou smooth the glass, cutting yourself would be so esy. Good luck.Helpful Reply

Maryjane keefe on Aug 20, 2016Crush and use in clear glass rectangular vase. Put water in vase and use the glass as kind of "frog" (usually metal spikes or glass holed object to put stems in) and insert stems in the crushed glass....Or you could just fill with water and float water candles on the top of the vase...You could also crush it and use it to fill small clear glass vases and then stick a stick of intense in it.Helpful Reply

S-isenhower on Aug 20, 2016I read somewhere to glue pieces of shattered glass onto a bowling ball. Note some of the pieces were larger, like a clump. I painted and sanded the ball. Then used a couple of different clear silicone type (outdoor) glues. In other gazing balls I made, I took different charms, jewelry and buttons and glued them randomly over. My ball is a dark pink, and my sister wanted grey grout. I covered about 4" and realized it was too dark, so now I'm in the process of trying to fix that the glass is still sharp, and if you're not really careful, the pieces break apart into small pieces that cut. Even after grouting there are still some sharp edges. If you have small children make sure it is well out of reach in the garden. It is still unfinished, but if I can download a picture, I will. There are tons of ideas online under " bowling balls, gazing balls." On one I made for my sister to give as a gift for a friend, I covered it with mirror pieces, charms, and some colorful glass globs. She sat it in her sunroom and the mirrors make beautiful sparkles on the walls. She never did put it outside.Helpful Reply

V Valencia on Aug 21, 2016You could place the glass intermixed with battery pack twinkle lights in a cylinder glass vase to make a glowing centerpiece. If you want color mixed in, you could add colored glass stones or beads.Helpful Reply
