Taking several medicines on a monthly has given me loads of empty pill bottles from the pharmacy. I do not want to just throw them away and need alternative ideas.

If the contaIers have a straight inside wall they make great vessels for ice cubes .. Just fill with water and freze. Also great for storing small items, buttons, safety pins

I'm looking for a creative answer for the same problem!! The pill bottles all have straight sides, the same basic orangey/copper color and I wonder what to do with them. Organizing small things, but what else??

I donate my empty prescription bottles to Matthew25. They then send them to developing countries. You have to pay shipping costs to send them, but to me it is worth it. Have a look and see if this is something you would be interested in. http://m25m.org/pillbottles/

If you're into decorating for Halloween, here is a cute idea http://www.hometalk.com/diy/-21538628... You can also use polymer clay to decorate the bottles :)

I use mine to hold quarters. The ones I have hold $10 worth. I used my labeling gun and have them labeled for laundry and for parking meters. It doesn't take much room and if I don't need them the grandkids use them for the arcade.

have you considered cleaning them up and returning them to the pharmacy? I usually collect up my bottles and pass them onto my vet. Saves them buying new stock and cuts down on waste. For yourself - perhaps you just need a refill and a new label put on the bottle to update it.

I use them to store seeds, beads, hair pins, anything that is small.
