Hudson Designs on Apr 16, 2011Sand all cabinet doors and drawer fronts with 100 grit sandpaper and wipe clean with lint free cloth. Also sand and clean all cabinet bases that are attached to the walls. Paint a coat of primer on all cabinet doors, drawer fronts and bases. If primer did not cover completely, paint on a second coat. Paint the first coat of the colored latex paint of choice. Complete this on all of the doors, drawer fronts and bases making sure to get an even first coat applied. Allow this to dry at least 24 hours. Repeat Step 4 by painting a second coat of the colored latex paint on all the doors, drawer fronts and bases. Again, allow this to dry for at least 24 hours. To protect the new paint, apply a coat of clear sealer to all cabinet doors, drawer fronts and bases. This can be a semi-gloss or high gloss sealer and can be painted or sprayed on. Allow this to dry completely for 24 hours.Helpful Reply
