They make different colored cellophane for window applications. Just use window cleaner for the application.
There is glass paint that can be used or there are translucent window coverings that peel and stick. I have seen them at Home Depot
home Depot sells a privacy film covering available in assorted patterns including on that looks like stained glass.
you can dye mod podge and paint it on. It will dry see through but the color will stay.
use glass paint .. can also use sharpies
