Any ideas for painting lampshades?

I have two beige shantung lampshades. In excellent shape but wrong color for my new decor. Can I paint them a chalk white? Any suggestions? Thank you!

Hello, Judy! Yes, you can paint them! I have seen many excellent color makeovers across blogland and they hold up well too! They best recommendation I have seen is to go at it lightly creating light coats so that it finishes evenly and smoothly. Please post how yours turns out!

yes!!! Definitely try chalk painting them. Very thin coats.
