Were you asking for ideas for an outdoor coffee table? If so, you could use pallets stacked to the desired height and top them with a piece of heavily polyurethaned (7-10 sprayed coats) MDF or plywood, then top that with either some marble squares or stone tiles to give it that outdoor look.

I don't understand the question.
An easy idea I've seen is stacking a few cinder blocks and placing boards in the holes. This lets you customize the length of the table. You can even paint the blocks if you like.

To seal and protect wood outdoors,use a varathane / marine varnish, not a polly. A couple coats will do.
