laminate does not readily accept paint but can be prepped with primer paint that seals it first. then paint and seal with varnish.....a good heat gun and a sharp blade can remove the laminate and you could then start with base wood....assuming there is actual wood and not particle board under the laminate

Hello I just finished my laminate dresser. I clean it with soap & water. Then with another bucket of clean water I wape it several times to make sure it was clean, let it dry. I use Lowes valspar paint. I put two coat of paint on it. Look great, good luck. Visit
