go to www.homeguides.sfgate.com. The site explains the process; basically using color matched vinyl siding caulk available at any siding retailer.
Hello Lisa; I was going to suggest using quick drying caulking and a patch of sorts, using extra pieces of siding cut to size. if I were doing this, I would cut the siding at least two inches larger than the hole.
I hope that this helps you!! Take Care!
Hi Lisa, If the holes are in the front of your house or somewhere highly visible, maybe you could use a piece from a non conspicuous area of the house to replace/cover up the holes until you find a permanent solution.
Hope this helps!
Lisa, there is a product that I have used inside and out and is readily available at HD or Lowes...any hardware store. It is Mortite.....I think this is how it is spelled?? Basically, it is a malleable thick and flexible product that I have used to seal areas around window AC units and baseboards where the seal might be old and the caulking has gotten out of hand for the moment. Reminds me of something like a thick chewing gum...and is ribbed if you want a thicker band vs. a thinner one. Best of luck...waterproof and paint-able as well
Did you try typing it into your browser?
For a temporary fix, I used Gorilla tape on my white siding, hole was golf ball sized. Been there about 4 years now.
You are Welcome, Lisa!
