What color paint for a kitchen with gray cabinets?

I did yellow with a peacock color

A charcoal gray with blue undertones .

Hello Nancy; I would suggest that you go with what colors your Love and enjoy.

If I were redoing your Cabinets, I would go to Ace Hardware, Home Depot, Etc.

I would take every paint chip that I was remotely interested in.

I would then bring home all of the paint chips, and I would look at them in sunlight, as well as with artificial lighting.

Please trust yourself. Choose what colors make your truly Happy and that you Love.

You will be the one living with this in your Home!!!

I also advise others to try and do this.....

When I am redoing a space for someone, what I routinely will do is this.

I have them pick out objects, be it Antiques, a Pillow....anything that they Love.

I then go with those colors.

Robin Egg Blue looks so great with gray. It will brighten up the gray as well.

Gray comes in so many colors (some with blue, some with lavender). I love gray with gray. Right now, my very favorite color to go with gray is very light dove gray.

I'd like to suggest Valspar's Oyster Pearl in a satin finish. It's a very nice neutral color that will complement your gray cabinets and work with any type of flooring you may have. Best of luck.

Any color you like! Grey is considered a neutral color.

I'd go for something sunny like a cheerful yellow - but not too bright.

It really depends on the vibe you want from your kitchen. For an industrial look, go for a darker grey. For a dramatic look go for a red or purple. If you like a calming and cheery space go for a blue or green.

Get some paint chips from the store in colors that appeal to you. Remember, that color grey absorbs light so don't go for another dark color. A very light grey will give you a monochromatic color for your kitchen and you can enhance that with colorful accessories like towels, new cabinet pulls, appliances etc. Otherwise, try some of the lighter 'spruce' colors which is a combination of green and blue. Remember, keep your colors crisp and consider how it will look in two years. A pale mint green would look cool and calm; dove grey/brown is always appropriate.
