You can do solids, granite, metal flake etc.
odI would cover the ugly floor, with 12x12 waterproof tiles. Depends which room you do. Tiles cost $. .99- 5.99 a piece. They come in boxes of 15-20, and you need to make sure the lot# is the same on each box you buy. Each tile has an arrow on the bottom, which tells you which way to lay the tile. Measure the room and when you go to Homedepot or Lowe's give them the measurements, and the'll tell you how many boxes you'll need. Buy one extra for mistakes and future repairs. You start from the middle of the room and work out to the walls. This will give the room a fresh look, and a face-lift. Good Luck!
