Decorating white coffee mugs

I have 5 white coffee mugs and have not gotten the hang of the marble look, any ideas what else I can do with them?

You could use paint pens to decorate them, then bake them to set the paint.

there are great spray paints that would work well. You could use painter's tape to make designs.
Use sharpies and decorate each of them. Roll up a goodie in a bandana, then place the bandana in the mug and hand them out to folks as an encouragement.
