I like different shades of peach and soft grays. Just my two cents,
Pick up some color samples from the paint section and decide that way. Everyone's taste is different. The color will depend on what other colors you have in your cabinets and furniture.
IF you have a nice piece of art work you absolutely love, you can use it for your inspiration. Just remember you live in the space, make it feel the way you want it to. Colors make a big impact on how it makes you and your visitors feel. Colors will also look different throughout the day. Paint at least a 3 foot swatch of the color you want to try out. all test sample colors are always flat, shine makes a big difference in color. the paint department says it isn't but believe me it does. Watch the color changes throughout the day and see if the color is something that stays feeling right. We chose a silver gray called silver charm. it has a lavender base. Love how it changes during the day. very refreshing feeling not heavy winter feeling like we have with the house colors Faded Silk green.
Check online and at the paint store to see what is available and also the look you want to achieve. If you want a calming room, consider blues or earth tones. https://www.pinterest.com/explore/dining-room-decorating/?lp=true
I like everything White, then you can decorate with any colors, anytime.
Thank you so much. Yes I love earth tones.
