I'd like to paint my cabinets how do I remove the old slick finish?

Its best to sand it back so that you can strip the paint and re-d o them! Good luck :)

there are products of a liquid sanding medium. Kilz will help with that also. good old fashioned sanding. Paint with primer is also helpful in this situation. Chalk paints stick to about anything

Sandpaper : by hand or with a sander OR steel wool, sold by "grade" to distinquish how rough the steel wool is on a surface. The finer the grade, the less impact.
