Is the yellow from years of cigarette smoke? Well, whatever the source, I've found vinegar mixed with water and maybe only a small amount of dish soap to be the best kitchen cleaner around.
i use Chlorox Cleanup in spray bottle for yellow caused by grease or smoke. Works great.
