Walls

I painted my paneling and one wall I sponge painted a light mint green a bit deeper green and a rose color. Well I got new furniture and my husband refuses to paint the entire family room. Would it be silly to paint one wall a different color, may be a color that is in the pillows? I was thinking of painting a little deeper teal color but don't want the room to look small. Any ideas?

Hi Nancy, Yes you can paint one wall (or two) a different color than the other walls! They call that an accent wall. You could go with any complementary color you like. Dark colors don't anyways make the room look smaller. Try out some sample paints to help choose the color, if you need to see it on the wall to decide, then you could see how the colors look in different light throughout the day and with your lamp light at night. Good luck, and please post photos when you are finish!

Paint it yourself. It's not hard. Or get someone in to paint it.

Get a power roller (it loads the paint for you on the roller) check offer up or Craigslist .It's easier and faster and paint the whole room yourself while he is at work. HE JUST DOESN'T WANT TO DO IT.

Use small 6 inch roller and long handle, screw on. Paint small section at a time. Get Valspar paint with primer in the paint. Goes on smooth. Be beautiful....
