How would I attach Christmas greenery

I want to place it at the corner of an outside door. I guess it would have to be bendable and I would have to attach it to vinyl siding

Try useing cup hooks on outside trim around the exterior door.
They sell vinyl siding hooks on Amazon, that do not damage your siding.

Gather branches. Tie with a ribbon. Hang the ribbon on a nail.
