Go to your local home improvement store. In the paint department they have a number of spray on glue that you can use on numerous different things. Just look for one you can use on both fabric and wood. When we redid the wood and carpet on our fishing boat we used spray on glue to attach the carpet to the marine plywood and it worked perfectly! You just spray it on both pieces, wait for the directed amount of time and then put them together carefully so you get it on smooth and in the right place on the wood. You can do this, it is not hard at all!
Instead of spray glue try double face tape or carpet tape
There are several on the market. Go to Amazon - their product descriptions are very specific so you can't go wrong!
