I have a purse I love but the magnet in the clasp lost its pull

    You can use a good glue like E6000 to reinforce it.

      I don't think I made myself clear. I cannot replace the magnet it is solid, just does not stay connected to the other side. So the purse opens up too easily. Just wondered if I can increase the pull somehow? Thank you!

    Remagnatise it by using another stronger magnet to ""recharge"" it. Stick the stronger magnet to the one on your closure & let them sit overnight to ""recharge"". Remove the new magnet & test the closure. GOOD LUCK! :)

    I was thinking there might be a buildup of gunk on the magnets. Try an Emery board on both sides. I do this with my battery contacts and light bulbs too.

    Or just add a new magnet to each side of the dead one, and corresponding magnets to the other part of the purse.....
