Do you have carpentry skills? Build a box, put rollers on it, paint it and put padding on top...fabric on padding could be a pretty print.
You can pad a plastic milk crate with foam, add a piece of 2" foam on top and then make a cover for it.

Get some thick foam and cut in a square with an electric knife. Cut several pieces the same size( sometimes you can get foam from an upholstery shop for free especially if they are recovering cushions) then glue them stacked on top of each other. Then find some fabric you like and make a casing to fit over it. You can also get one of those wooden crates from local craft shop, cut a piece of wood to cover the top, glue a piece of fabric covered foam on top, wrap fabric around the crate and you will have a foot stool and storage space as well.
